Welcome back to university after the break.
Here are the course times and days for my English courses. I HAVE CHANGED THE DIVISION OF THE COURSES! There are three identical upper-intermediate courses (A, B and C). These lessons are divided into surname and are double slots that you have to attend once a week.
This is a ten-week course. Please make sure you have a copy of the book in week one.
I am also offering extra grammar courses (intermediate and advanced) and reading comprehension & writing skills lessons (upper-intermediate). There is one lesson per week for these grammar and language skills classes. The lesson is repeated to make it available to as many students as possible. Please ignore the courses called ESERCITAZIONI A e B!
All the course information and extra materials can be accessed on the Gruppo A page ONLY (the page with the image of the bear and the bull).
Lessons are not recorded on Panopto. Lessons only take place in the classroom.
B2/Upper-intermediate Course
This is the main course, which aims to help students with their presentation skills, vocabulary and grammar. Two slots per week for ten weeks. This is for students who are at a B2 level.
We will be using Speak Out Upper-Intermediate, Split Edition B (isbn: 9781292440682. Cafoscarina has copies in their shop – you can also buy the book from their online store at shopcafoscarina.it). Please make sure you have the book from week one.
Striving for Success
This course has just one lesson a week for ten weeks (the lesson is available at two separate times each week). Each week, we will look at either a grammar point or language development to help students overcome English-language difficulties during the semester. The lessons are open to all students from all groups. I will provide the lesson materials.
Advanced Grammar
This C1 grammar course is for advanced students who already have a B2 level. There is just one lesson a week for ten weeks (the lesson is available at two separate times each week). Each week, we will look at a different grammar point. The lessons are open to all ADVANCED students from all groups. I will provide the lesson materials.
Ready for Work
This course is just one lesson a week for ten weeks (the lesson is available at two separate times each week). Each week, we will look at a reading comprehension based on Business English or will do writing activities related to the world of work, such as writing appraisals, CVs, reports and feedback. The lessons are open to all students from all groups. I will provide the lesson materials.
