After an introduction on Human Rights and on the Feminist movement, the course explores international law's response to gender equality. It examines the United Nations', Council of Europe's and European Union's legislation, measures and toolboxes. It delves into how these have developed through time from an equality between men and women approach, to intersectionality and non binary gender policies . A large part of the course is spent in analysing international courts' jurisprudence and how this has shaped the legislative response in Europe and beyond.
